At The Nature Collective, our volunteers are the heart and soul of everything we do. They bring energy, passion, and creativity to our community, helping us nurture a love for nature both in Second Life and beyond. To celebrate these amazing individuals, we’re launching our Volunteer Spotlight! Each quarter, we’ll be recognizing one standout volunteer for their dedication and hard work, sharing a bit about their journey, contributions, and more.

Whether they’re hosting events, scouting locations, or spreading a welcoming positivity in the TNC community, our volunteers make a difference every day. So make sure read below, learn about our volunteers, and maybe get inspired to follow in their footsteps!

And don’t forget to give them a big “thank you” the next time you see them around TNC! 🌿💚

Derriphan Vandervoort, TNC Volunteer

For our first Volunteer Spotlight, we have selected Derriphan Vandervoort. Derriphan has been a volunteer with TNC since February, first as a Nature Scout, then as our Lead Scout. He has recently accepted the position of Assistant Volunteer Coordinator. During his time with us, Derriphan has been a very active volunteer, always willing to help and taking on various projects to help out Emm and the other admins.

Derriphan says he enjoys volunteering with TNC because it gives him a chance to see other creators’ endeavors and find new inspiration for his own projects. His favorite part of the role is engaging with the community and witnessing the incredible creativity and passion everyone brings to the table.

Derriphan is a big fan of exploring new places, whether it’s a road trip to a nearby town or planning an adventure to a completely new destination. He loves experiencing different cultures and landscapes, and says that it’s always exciting to see what’s out there.
