Job Title: Volunteer Nature Ambassador

This role plays a crucial part in engaging members across various platforms including the TNC Second Life group, Discord server, and social media channels. Nature Ambassadors will serve as a friendly and knowledgeable point of contact for members, fostering a welcoming and interactive community environment while providing assistance and guidance as needed.
- Responsibilities:
Member Engagement:- Assist in managing and moderating discussions in the TNC Second Life group, Discord server, and social media channels.
- Engage with members by responding to comments, messages, and inquiries in a timely and helpful manner.
- Foster a positive and inclusive community environment by encouraging participation and interaction among members.
- Resource Assistance:
- Help answer questions from group members and direct them to the appropriate resources or team members for further assistance.
- Provide guidance on how to navigate TNC events, initiatives, and virtual nature experiences.

Job Type: VolunteerOverview: The Nature Collective (TNC) is seeking creative and organized Event Coordinators to join our team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about nature, enthusiastic about community engagement, and skilled in coordinating and running virtual events in Second Life. As an Event Coordinator, you will be responsible for scouting locations, coordinating event logistics, and ensuring the smooth execution of TNC’s group events.
Responsibilities:

- Scout out TNC member locations for possible event locations.
- Contact TNC member locations to inform them of upcoming TNC events and coordinate event details.
- Send event notices and announcements to the TNC Second Life group and Discord to inform members and encourage participation.
- Lead and facilitate TNC events in Second Life, including Trails ‘n Tails, Coffee Collective, Shutterbug Club, and other upcoming events.
- Create a welcoming and interactive environment during events, engaging participants, answering questions, and fostering community connections.
- Collaborate with other TNC team members to develop and implement new event ideas and initiatives.
Maintain event schedules and communicate any changes or updates to participants and the TNC Admin Team. - Post events in the TNC Discord server every month and as needed.
- Provide feedback and suggestions for improving event experiences and increasing member engagement.
Qualifications:

This position will also help promote TNC news, events, etc., via personal blog and social media. As a TNC Blogger, you will have the opportunity to showcase the beauty of virtual nature and promote TNC’s mission to connect people with nature in the virtual world.
Responsibilities:

- Write engaging and informative blog posts about TNC member locations, highlighting their unique features, activities, and events with a MINIMUM of 2 posts per month.
- Capture high-quality photographs of TNC member locations to accompany blog posts and showcase their beauty.
- Utilize creative storytelling techniques to inspire readers to explore TNC member locations and engage with nature in Second Life.
- Share blog posts and photographs on social media platforms to increase visibility and engagement with TNC’s virtual nature experiences.
- Foster connections with TNC members and visitors by actively engaging with comments and feedback on blog posts and social media.
- Encourage community participation and interaction by inviting readers to explore TNC member locations and share their own experiences.
- Search Flickr and TNC Flickr group for SL nature photos and comment with an invitation graphic, inviting and thanking them to add their photos and join the Flickr group.
Qualifications:

- Passion for virtual nature, photography, and storytelling.
- Strong writing skills with the ability to craft engaging and informative blog posts.
- Proficiency in photography and photo editing software to capture and enhance images of virtual environments.
- Familiarity with blogging platforms such as WordPress or Blogger, as well as social media platforms like Flickr, Twitter, and Facebook.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a virtual volunteer role.
