Join The Nature Collective for International Day for Biological Diversity 2026 on iNaturalist!
This year’s theme is “Acting locally for global impact” โ and together, we can help create a global snapshot of life on Earth.
From May 15โ31, we invite our TNC community to step outside (or simply pause and notice what’s nearby!) and document the wild plants, fungi, insects, birds, and other species living around you through iNaturalist.
Whether it’s a bee visiting flowers, a squirrel in the park, moss on a tree, or a mushroom after the rain, every observation matters.
How to participate:
- Join the International Day for Biodiversity iNaturalist project
- Observe wild species in your area between May 15โ31
- Focus on curiosity, not quantity – local observations are incredibly valuable!
Scientists and conservationists use iNaturalist observations to help understand and protect biodiversity around the world. Your little moment of noticing nature becomes part of something much bigger.
