Jilly first discovered Second Life in ’09 when a friend from another virtual platform suggested it might be a good fit. (Jilly’s avatar of choice had been small, wore wings, and was frowned upon. As soon as she explored SL, the other platform was abandoned.) Other than a stint bearing a remarkable resemblance to actress Myrna Loy and hosting at a vintage club, the Faery Witch has always been her preferred aesthetic. Most often seen as a small avatar, it wasn’t until this past year (2026 and going forward) that she embraced the “almost” human. Sparkles are a constant, and she’s swapped fae ears for pointed ear cuffs. Wings are still worn, but they’re in honor of two SL friends who’ve passed. Both were well-known faeries who wore wings.
While not a RL nature girl per se (her idea of camping is staying in a motel), nature is valued, adored, and respected. SL nature is deeply appreciated for the realism it offers, and Jilly is constantly marveling at the creativity and authenticity so many creators bring to life. There’s very little separation between the two lives, though RL teleporting would be such a help!
